Contractor Health and Safety

Kemtile is an accredited contractor under the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) as well as Construction Line and Safe Contractor, which means our clients can be reassured that we comply with all the necessary health and safety standards to work on public and private sector contracts.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is a readily identifiable standard for the construction industry. It is a mark of quality and competence for all contractors. Holders of the card must prove their competence in their own sector of the industry and pass a Health & Safety test.

CDM 2015 (Construction, Design and Management)

Kemtile possesses the experience and competence in managing turnkey projects as Principal Contractor. We encourage and provide a team approach to the management of health, safety and the client environment.

FeRFA and The Tile Association

As full members of The Resin Flooring Association (FeRFA), and The Tile Association (TTA), our flooring solutions are expected to be slip-resistant, (it is a requirement of membership), especially in today’s risk averse environment. Slip-resistance is a highly complex subject and the products supplied depend on the environment in which they will function, the type of traffic using the floor, and the cleanliness of the floor. There is a connection between slip resistance and cleanability, and between cleaning regimes and slip-resistance. Kemtile is an expert in this field and will not only specify the optimum surface for your production facility, but also advise on a cleaning regime to ensure surfaces remain slip resistant and hygienic.

Environment, Waste Handling and Sustainability

As a member of The Resin Flooring Association (FeRFA) we fully subsribe to and are informed by the association’s guidance on the environment.

Food Industry Safety and Hygiene Passport Scheme

Leading food manufacturers together with the Process and Packaging Machinery Association (which represents many of the leading contractors in the food industry) runs this food industry-led scheme. Kemtile employees carry the credit card type passport known as the Safety Pass Alliance to demonstrate the accreditation.

European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group

Kemtile, via its parent company, is a member of the European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) and adheres to its best practice flooring design guidance for the food and drink industry.
