Kemtile has been appointed by a Scottish food and beverage (F&B) company to install PolySto kerbs and wall protection system and in excess of 300m2 of high-performance polymer resin flooring.

With more than three decades of experience, the F&B giant is one of the country’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of dairy products.

To meet the tight programme deadlines, Kemtile had already started to lay a HACCP-approved Stonclad UF system – this is a heavy-duty polyurethane resin floor screed that exhibits excellent performance in thermal shock/ thermal cycling, high-impact and/or high-traffic making it ideal for environments like food and beverage processing.

In addition, Kemtile’s expert crews also installed PolySto Clean Rock® wall protection kerbs which are a unique construction consisting of polyester resins and quartz granules incorporating a bacteriostatic and shock-resistant polyester gel coat finish.

CleanRock® kerbs are water and chemical-resistant, the unique composition of CleanRock® also allows for the prevention of contaminations from Salmonella, E.coli, Listeria and other bacteria.

Mark Galloway, Area Sales Manager at Kemtile, who led the project adds: “One of the main challenges for the project has been to ensure deliveries to the Island within the tight timescale. The team worked hard to complete the project on time.”

The client comments: “We appointed Kemtile due to their extensive experience of delivering hygienic flooring and drainage solutions within the food and beverage industry. The Kemtile team understands the unique challenges faced by our industry, such as maintaining strict hygiene standards and ensuring a safe working environment.”

Mark again: “We understand the critical role flooring plays in the food and beverage industry, where hygiene and safety are paramount. With our expertise in the sector, we are committed to delivering a flooring solution that meets the highest standards of cleanliness, durability, and compliance.”
