Kemtile, a division of Stonhard and one of the UK’s leading “single-source” manufacturers and processors of industrial flooring, drainage and lining solutions, today announced that it will be attending the PPMA Show 2023. At the show, Kemtile will be launching a new chemical-resistant flooring and lining solution, Stonchem CIP.
The PPMA Show (26th-28th Sept) is the largest processing and packaging machinery exhibition held annually at NEC Birmingham in the UK. It is the perfect trade show to present Kemtile’s latest flooring and lining solution specifically aimed at those manufacturers with Clean-In-Place (CIP) environments.
CIP areas are designated areas used for the automated cleaning and sanitisation of process equipment, such as process critical tanks, pipelines, and other machinery, without disassembly.
Utilising both urethane and vinyl ester technology, Stonchem CIP provides resistance to a range of aggressive chemicals including strong detergents, sanitising agents, caustic, acid cleaners and descaling agents.
Typically, these areas can suffer from chemical attacks especially during “dosing cycles”, Stonchem CIP is designed to resist the specific chemicals used in CIP areas and also provide a durable flooring solution.
The Stonchem system can also be applied into drainage “troughs” where typically stainless steel is used. This can eliminate those vulnerable expansion joints between the drainage and the floor providing a “seamless” hygienic and chemically resistant system.
The Stonchem range in itself is a unique and extensive line of coatings and linings products for harsh environments: primary and secondary containment, processing areas, bunds, pits and trenches. These high-performance linings come in a full range of configurations to meet the unique requirements of different facilities.
Kemtile’s Jamie Cook commented: “The PPMA Show remains a key platform for Kemtile and Stonhard to meet existing and new customers, understand new trends and challenges facing the industry, and advise companies on their flooring and drainage needs.”
“This year, we are really excited to launch a new Stonhard/Stonchem flooring and lining system designed to meet the specific needs of CIP environments, which are perhaps one of the most challenging areas in any food and beverage or pharma manufacturing facility when it comes to installing and maintaining a safe, hygienic and chemically resistant floor,” adds Cook.
Kemtile will also be showcasing a range of other hygiene solutions including its full food and pharma grade flooring solutions, PolySto’s HACCP-manufactured kerbs, Stontile ceramic floor tiling, Protectorseal/Stonglaze wall coatings and its extensive range of stainless steel drainage solutions.
When it comes to long-lasting industrial floors, walls, kerbs and lining solutions, Kemtile’s design and installation expertise and together with Stonhard’s manufacturing excellence are helping companies throughout the UK across a variety of manufacturing industries.
These include the top food and beverage processing and packaging brands, as well as many smaller producers, pharmaceutical and wider engineering production facilities.
