Next taking to the podium in our “Five Minutes With” series is Joanne Noon, our lovely Contracts Administrator.

What is your role at Kemtile?

Contracts Administrator

Can you share a bit about your background and experience in the flooring industry?

I have worked in a flooring industry office for the past 15 years and have carried out most of the roles including reception, admin, PPE distribution, booking accommodation and many more. My role as Contracts Administrator is the most interesting to date and I am getting more involved all the time.

Can you highlight a favourite project or accomplishment while working at Kemtile?

Project DSM/BakerHicks is a good one.  I book accommodation for our lads and organise the filing of correspondence received from several parties, organise the safety culture forms and record everything on our system. I feel very responsible to ensure all goes smoothly as it’s a large job and will run for several months.

What is the best career advice you have ever received?

Always ask questions and make sure you understand situations and workloads. Never be afraid to ask for help if needed.

What is your favourite thing about working at Kemtile?

There are a lot of familiar faces here at Kemtile, as I have experienced working with them in my previous company. It feels like home.  I really like getting involved in the nitty gritty and discussing projects with the team. There’s never a dull moment and everyone is very open and determined to get the job done to a high standard.

How would you describe the culture within the Kemtile team?

Really friendly. Everyone is happy to help where they can. It’s nice having that support when I am the “new girl”.

Who are your key role models/inspirations?

I worked with Dave Sleight in my last job and I can honestly say he is a great colleague to have and I really look up to him.  His son Mike also works at Kemtile and is very supportive. The whole team are all great people with so much knowledge and experience between them

Getting to know you…
